Memories & The Why
As a self-taught product designer, I knew firsthand how challenging it can be to break into design. That's what made leading design education at Texas Product Engineering so meaningful to me, I got to make product design and Figma accessible to underclassmen from all majors across UT Austin, not just design students.
I developed and taught intro workshops that demystified product design fundamentals and hands-on Figma skills, passing on the knowledge I wish I'd had when I was starting out. Watching students from engineering, business, and liberal arts discover their design potential was incredibly rewarding. There's something special about creating a welcoming space where anyone curious about design can dive in and start creating!
